Hello, if you came here by way of Walk With Me, The Journey, please tell me what you thought of it. Did it reach or speak to you in anyway? If you came here from other means–-by accident or by invitation–-all that's here is my quick promo blurb in regards to speaking to young people, an additional news nod at the bottom, my new email (different from the email address in the book), and a link to my blog.

I’ve been speaking since 1994, but mostly creative arts during that time. In 2003 I started speaking on Christian and other motivational topics. I’ve spoken in California, Pennsylvania, and Maryland in jails, churches, camps, and other general locations. I’ve spoken to groups of 100’s, to groups of 30-40 people, as well as numerous one on one accounts with preteens, teenagers, young adults, adults, parents, ministers, and Pastors. I also worked with older teens and young adults from December 2005 to March 2007.

There are numerous topics to speak on, but I choose to speak on topics that reflect my knowledge and experience. And when I speak, it’s always to positively impact the listeners life. Here is a list of a few topics I speak on:
1. Reality for youth and young adults in the street life or fast life
2. Gangs
3. Sex/Porn and its consequences
4. Pre-marital and pre-parenthood advice for young adults
5. Wise Living
___a. Wrong “road” prevention
___b. The seriousness of choices
6. Achieving goals and dreams
7. Leaving a legacy
8. Evangelistic Gospel messages

After seeing the list, I guess the question now is what qualifies me to speak on these topics. Well, I have 16 yrs. experience with inner city living; 13 yrs. combined experience with at-risk youth and young adults; 10 yrs. experience with gangs/neighborhood cliques; 10 yrs. experience with illegal drugs and sex addiction; and I have experience in every level of jail–-county, state, and federal.

I have personally experienced in the first 6 1/2 years of my marriage every major marital issue that marriage therapists/counselors say normally happen over a 20 year span. In spite of all that, presently, we’re happily married with 3 kids. The first child we had, I was 19 and my wife was 18. We were at that time in our first year of the Marine Corps. The second child we had, we were homeless during the whole pregnancy and 4 months afterwards. However, due to the grace of God, we now have our own home, car, jobs, health, and our third child.

I have experienced firsthand both sides of the coin of life–-heads and tails–-(and then some) for a youth and young adult. I just want to share where I’ve come from and what I’ve learned so that my life will not have been in vain.

I am currently attending Liberty University, completing a bachelor degree program in Biblical Studies with a minor in Christian Counseling. I have written an exposition--Response to an Atheist--a soon to be released Christian Living book--Discipleship State of Mind--and not to mention many blog articles.

In closing, I hope there was something you’ve read that has presented an opportunity for me in your undertakings. If not, then please pass this info on to someone you know who might benefit from it. Thank you for your time, and hopefully we can do something together.
